Pre-order Your Natural, Pasture-Raised Broilers Now for January Pick-up
Our new batch of chicks is here! I’m really excited about this batch because it’s our first that will be fed 100% natural, non-soy, non-corn, non-GMO feed from Texas Natural Feeds.
GMO-Free Parent Stock
We’re also proud that our chicks come from from Freedom Ranger Hatchery’s GMO Free Parent Stock.
In addition to our standard line of high quality Freedom Ranger broilers, we offer a special line of chicks produced from our GMO Free flock. We maintain a parent flock of Freedom Ranger chickens who are feed a strict diet non-GMO feeds in order to offer chicks whose parent flock is not fed genetically modified grains.
We’ve always loved the Freedom Ranger breed because they are very hearty and do really well on pasture. They grow a little more slowly than conventional Cornish Cross birds that you would get at the supermarket. Because their growth isn’t pushed unnaturally, they’re healthier overall. When we raised Cornish Cross we always lost a few each batch; they would just keel over and die for no reason. We’ve never had that problem with Freedom Rangers.
Not only are pasture-raised Freedom Rangers healthier, we think they taste better. Conventional factory-raised chicken tends to be bland and tasteless, but our birds are juicy and full of flavor.
We Use the Highest Quality Feed
A lot of folks are really interested in what our chickens eat. In the past we’ve fed conventional feed to keep costs down, but more and more people are willing to pay a little extra to ensure that the birds are fed and fattened on the best quality ingredients.
Because of this, we are switching to Texas Natural Feeds Original Chick Starter. Texas Natural Feeds is GMO-free, soy-free, and corn-free. Just to prove that it can be done!
I’m incredibly excited about this because it means our chickens are absolutely the most natural chicken that you can buy, period.
